The Peoria Riverfront Museum is a testament to the people of this community who worked together to add what will be the crown jewel of our riverfront development efforts started many years ago. Serving as Peoria's mayor when the Sears block was purchased I take particular pride in seeing its completion. Alice and I were proud to be early supporters of the project, because we were convinced that moving the museum downtown would serve many people in our community in different ways, and bring a new vitality and excitement downtown.
