Preservation of rich history is a timeless possesion, a diverse treasure which can be shared by all generation after generation. We in the heartland of America should be very proud that our Museum has been geographically located along the banks of the Illinois River, the location that once served as the Genesis of Peoria; and now becomes the home to retain it's tremendously rich heritage and serve as a constant reminder of the bountiful blessings this community has been afforded over the past 200 years. May this edifice and the contents therein reflect not only the early history, trials and hardships, but also the determination and victories we so embrace in our great land. May we always respect, honor, and be thankful for the freedoms and blessings that God has provided each of us.
