The museum represents a new era for Central Illinois and for downtown Peoria, by adding a world class facility that will not only appeal to people of all ages and cultures, but will be a landmark for generations. When coupled with the Caterpillar Visitors Center next door, Peoria becomes a wonderful place for thousands of people who will get a very positive impression of our region, our people and our culture. Through the vision and generosity of many, the museum is a fine example of community leaders who came together to ignite the resurgence of our region as an attraction to families, professionals and businesses.
